#2301 – “REFLECTIONS OF MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.” In commemoration of Martin Luther King, Jr., this program highlights Dr. King’s contributions through archival footage and interviews with some of his closest associates.
#2302 – “WHO REALLY KILLED MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.?” Recently, a Memphis jury threw out the lone-gunman theory in the Martin Luther King, Jr. assassination and ruled that the slain civil rights leader was the victim of a conspiracy. This program examines the allegations surrounding Dr. King’s assassination.
#2303 – “REPARATIONS FOR TULSA RACE RIOT?” A racially-diverse panel in Oklahoma has recently urged the state to pay reparations for the Tulsa race riots in 1921 when angry White mobs killed about 300 Black people, fire-bombed the Black section of town from the air, and left the prosperous Black community of Greenwood in ashes. Tony Brown’s Journal, which reported on this historical tragedy nearly 15 years ago, examines these new developments.
#2304 – “SHOULD BLACKS RECEIVE REPARATIONS?” Recently, the Tulsa Race Riot Commission recommended reparations to the survivors of the 1921 Tulsa, Oklahoma race riots. This program examines the national reparations movement among Blacks in America.
#2305 – “HEALTH FROM THE OTHER SIDE” Tony Brown’s Journal first introduced Gary Null’s unique views on health to television audiences in 1987. Since then the mainstream has caught up with Null’s cutting edge nutrition regimen and he is a widely-known and respected health guru. This program showcases Null’s health odyssey.
#2306 – “THE AIDS MAVERICK” Virologist Dr. Peter Duesberg emerged as one of the scientific community’s brightest talents when he discovered the viral gene that can cause cancer. This program examines his research and his controversial stance on AIDS that nearly destroyed his career.
#2307 – “IS CLEANLINESS NEXT TO GOOD HEALTH?” Scientist Ken Seaton believes that statistics showing an increase in the disparities between the health of the affluent and the poor, such as life expectancy, cancer and diabetes, are due largely to hygiene. He says that lower socioeconomic groups can close the health gap with the more affluent groups by raising their albumin level through better hygiene.

This 4-part series features Dr. Hulda Clark. Dr. Clark believes that the source of all disease is a combination of parasites, bacteria, viruses and pollutants in the body. In this series, Dr. Clark discusses her methods of finding and ridding the body of these substances. She examines the first five leading causes of death in the United States and shares her research into the relationship between parasites, bacteria, metal and pollutants in heart disease, cancer, stroke, lung disease and diabetes. She also discusses her research into the causes and cures for kidney disease, liver disease, blood poisoning, Alzheimer’s Disease and HIV/AIDS.
#2312 – “PESTICIDES AND CANCER” What were the effects of the spraying of the pesticide malathion in New York City in August 1999? This program examines the Environmental Protection Agency’s new report on the use of this pesticide and the continuing debate on its health risks.
#2313 – “HULDA CLARK REBUTTAL: PART I” #2314 – “HULDA CLARK REBUTTAL: PART II” In this two-part discussion, Dr. Terry Polevoy, Dr. Stephen Barrett, chairman of Quackwatch, and Dr. Leslie Bernstein, a professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, challenge Dr. Hulda Clark’s theories and methods for identifying and eliminating the causes of disease.
#2315 – “BLACK & RICH: THE INSIDE STORY – PART I” #2316 – “BLACK & RICH: THE INSIDE STORY – PART II” On this two-part program, Tony Brown talks to attorney Lawrence Otis Graham, author of Our Kind of People: Inside America’s Black Upper Class. In this riveting discussion about race and class, Graham reveals some startling insights into America’s Black elite. He also shares how he inadvertently exposed one of the country’s major “White” socialites who had been carrying a false racial identity for decades.
#2317 – “WHAT DID FARRAKHAN SAY AND WHEN DID HE SAY IT?” The media recently reported that Minister Louis Farrakhan admitted in a nationally televised interview that he might have been “complicit” through his words in the death of Malcolm X. Was that the first time Min. Farrakhan admitted his words might have contributed to Malcolm X’s death? This program provides a rare glimpse of a vintage conversation 15 years ago between Tony Brown and Min. Farrakhan about his role in the assassination of Malcolm X.
#2318 – “RACE PREFERENCE OR RACE HELP?” Whether justly deserved or not, Ward Connerly has been heavily criticized in the Black community and in some instances branded an Uncle Tom. His views on affirmative action draw the greatest ire from his detractors who see Connerly’s definition of affirmative action as race preference hurtful to Blacks. Connerly defends his position on affirmative action and explains why he feels Blacks don’t deserve special treatment.
#2319 – “THE JUBILEE GOD” The African-American Jubilee Edition Bible, brainchild of some the nation’s most respected Black clergymen, is not–as the authors put it–your typical King James Bible. “Our first task,” says the preface, “is to use biblical evidence, supportive academic references and common sense to show that the ancestral home of man was in Africa, the land associated with the beginnings of Eden I in the Bible.” Rev. Vigil Wood, credited with laying the foundation for the project, explains the concept of Jubilee and the purpose of this new biblical edition.
#2320 – “J. EDGAR HOOVER: THE QUESTION THAT WON’T DIE” By American standards, one drop of Black blood makes you Black. If so, was J. Edgar Hoover, the infamous director of the FBI, passing for White? California educator Millie McGhee, author of Secrets Uncovered, talks about her research into her family genealogy and her revelation that Hoover was her grandfather’s second cousin.
#2321 – “WHEN IS RACE BLACK OR WHITE?” Brazil boasts the second largest Black population in the world outside of Africa, but Brazilians constitute a large portion of the poor just like Blacks in America. However, race in Brazil can be defined differently than in the United States. The Washington Post Style editor Eugene Robinson, author of Coal To Cream, shares insights into the prickly issue of race in American and in other countries.
#2322 – “PERILS OF THE PRESIDENCY” While opinion polls have long served as acceptable barometers for predicting the outcome of political elections, this program takes an unorthodox approach and asks an astrologer to fill in the blanks. Bob Marks, who predicted Microsoft’s legal woes in 1995, has some startling revelations about the next presidency.

#2324 – “THE DEVIL’S ADVICE” Educator Dr. Joe Cornelius once again shares his insightful talent as he weaves the tale of a young man struggling against the odds. In “The Devil & Leroy Jones,” Dr. Cornelius imbues his performance with a message of hope for the future.
#2325 – “KILLING THEM HARSHLY” Several years after radio talk show host Joe Madison saw an examination of slavery in Mauritania and Sudan on Tony Brown’s Journal, he journeyed to Africa to do his own investigation. What he found was heart wrenching. He shares a shocking glimpse into the slave trade in the Sudan.
#2326 - “CANCER DIAGNOSIS: WHAT DO WE DO?” Burton Goldberg, publisher of Cancer Diagnosis: What to Do Next and the Definitive Guide to Cancer, recently testified before the Congressional Committee on Cancer Care for the New Millennium. He joins Dr. Robert Atkins, best-selling author and creator of the famous Atkins diet, to discuss medical approaches to treating cancer and other health issues.
